The Inverted Pyramid of Corporate Responsibility

All large corporations evolve toward the Inverted Pyramid of Responsibility. As you rise in the organization, you find increasing numbers of managers seeking control over and credit for any project. At the bottom of a perfect inverted pyramid you find a single worker trying to finish the project, but more often seeking to reassure the rest of the pyramid that they will have bragging rights. That is why early publicity will kill most projects. All important work should be finished secretly before the first proposal.
